Illustrated Once And For All

There are some classic stories that have been so well made that I would never even consider re-illustrating them. In my mind I can't separate the stories from their pictures. I definitely recommend these books:
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis, Illustrated by Pauline Baynes
Charlotte's Web by E. B. White, Illustrated by Garth Williams
Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder, Illustrated by Garth Williams
The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter
Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, Illustrated by N. C. Wyeth
Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne, Illustrated by E.H. Shepard

Alice's Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carol, Illustrated by John Tenniel
The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens, Illustrated by Robert Seymour
